Where have LowerMyBills LendingTree and RealEstate gone?

Posted by admin on March 3rd, 2010 and filed under realestate com | 4 Comments »

The sites lowermybills.com , lendingtree.com and realestate.com seem to have vanished off the face of the Earth. I read somewhere that Lending Tree was in a court case but that is all I know…

LendingTree and Bankrate.com are both being sued for using bait-and-switch tactics. LendingTree, for example, advertises that "when banks compete you win." However, many leads are sent directly to it’s wholly owned direct lending division, Home Loan Center.

LowerMyBills is having similar issues.

Is Cohen & Steers Realty Shares (CSRSX) and US global resources PSPFX good mutual funds?

Posted by admin on March 3rd, 2010 and filed under me realty | 2 Comments »

I am thiking about investing in mutual funds and these 2 looked good to me. No load. No transactions fees with fidelity. Anybody has any thoughts on this? Also, are there any good no load funds you can suggest?

I checked the website below – which is an independent view of mutual funds and both funds pass their test!

In as much as you are buying sector funds, you are not as diversified as if you bought a simple index fund. Personally, I prefer ETFs because they have lower cost structures and are bought and sold on a stock exchange. You pay commission to buy and sell but you avoid actively-managed funds. check the website linked:

need website that shows amount home sold for and possibly appraisal amount?

Posted by admin on March 3rd, 2010 and filed under show me realestate | 7 Comments »

We found a house we like, it has yard we LOVE. It’s a short sale so bank is saying they abosolutely will not take less than 214k. 54yr old house appraised at 220k. Interior has been upgraded & remodled, but will need a new roof in next 10years. Home inspection shows about $2-3k in minor repairs if done by contractor(most of which we could do ourselves & save $1-2K). Bank is loosing 100k on this house because previous owner bought it at 320k when market was high(they will have to forgive debt). My feel is that with the market so bad now, they should take less because it’s only selling for 6k less than appraisal. My realestate agent said they wont(I saw bank letter), they’d rather foreclose on owners & try to recoup that way. Is there a website or how would I know what other homes in 95973 area sold for recently based on appraisal amount? Or how would I get this information? Please don’t say from realator, we cannot get anything from him and for personal reasons cannot fire him.

housefront.com

has current owner name
price paid
and an estimated appraisal price.

alot of other information as well.

or you can text the address and zip code to "46783" its a free service

I have my realestate license in CA what kind of job can I work?

i was a Loan Agent for 5+yrs, but w/this market business is SLOW! and selling homes know is also very slow…….anything else??

You can try to find a job as a sales person with a large real estate developer (the one selling new homes.) Some of them have sales people on salary, not on commission.
You can also get into property management field.

Which site is best for realestate in US?

Posted by admin on March 1st, 2010 and filed under realestate com | 2 Comments »

I have been to these sites:
1. realestate.yahoo.com
2. zillow.com
3. trulia.com

Which site do you you think is the best one?
Do you know about any other sites?

Since "all real estate is local" I think the website should be local also. If you are looking for real estate in Houston Texas there are several web site (at least three dozen) that have the entire MLS in search-able format. Most high production real estate agents provide this access on their website at no cost or obligation.

I see no advantage to a national site.

how good is keller williams realty to work for?

Posted by admin on March 1st, 2010 and filed under me realty | 3 Comments »

I am just getting in real estate business. I have interviewed with couple realty companies and i am really confused who to work for. i have interviewed with exit, century 21, coldwell banker, and keller williams. i want to go with someone who is gonna give me good TRAINING cuz that is my main concern. how good is keller williams.

Since you are starting in this business, training is extremely important. Of all the companies you mention, Keller Williams and Coldwell Banker are the best when it comes to training but in my experience Coldwell Banker’s fees are even higher. Starting with Keller Williams is a good move but keep in mind that each office is independently owned, therefore, slightly different. So, go with the one office that has the structure and athmosphere you can best live with and that WILL HELP YOU WITH REFERRALS or that you are part of a team so that you start getting some income. Once you have experience and have grown your business (a few years), you can change to a company that requires lower fees, like Exit.

Much luck.

borrowed family money to buy realestate here in the us. can i deduct the interest and do i need a contract?

Posted by admin on March 1st, 2010 and filed under realestate in me | 3 Comments »

My fiancee is a non-resident/ non citizen; Is it possible for her to deduct this interest? Can she deduct yearly or only when the house and the property sells? Or can she only deduct a portion of the interest? Will a hard copy of the "loan-agreement-contract", be required as proof for review at filling?

Thank You in advance.

i think you best bet would be to post this question in the tax section!!!

Burn scar in dream?

Posted by admin on March 1st, 2010 and filed under show me realestate | 6 Comments »

I would appreciate insight on the symbol of a burn scar. I have had 2 dreams with this symbol.
1. A brown woman has a burn scar on one side of her neck going up her face. She shows me a beautiful high rise building and tells me I can have it. I tell her, No, that I do not have a realestate license and can’t do it. She says, "Oh yes you can!" She then tells me she is going to make me breakfast. We walk into the most beautiful kitchen I have ever seen. It is gold and brown and glows with warmth.

2. I am talking with a young boy (8-10 years old). He has a burn scar on the right side of his face and it goes up beneath his eye and partially on one side of his nose. As I am talking with him I notice that depending on how he positions his face the scar disappears to where I can see what his face looks like without it.

We are standing near 3 swimming pools, all of them above ground. One pool is associated with the boy. It is a long lap pool. It is said to have a leak.
I am fascinated with high rises and would love to live in one. I love being up high.
The brown lady also told me I had one foot on the Sun. By brown I mean she was black, but a very light black. I am not brown or black.

Well, a dream rife with images; I don’t know how well I can do, but I’ll try.

My first thought about the scars is that they reveal that the persons are meant to be mortal, not supernatural messages in anyway, but that their messages are for living life. They could also depict old wounds that have healed and no longer generate pain. And what I always think about disfigurements and imperfections, they show that regardless of physical ravages there can be comfort or beauty and intelligence inside. This could be someone else speaking to you in your dream, or it could be a message from your subconscious trying to take care of you in a time of frustration, reminding you to nurture and care for yourself and to discard the outside for the inside.

Black women are frequently associated with nurturing and encouragement, at least by me, and I think others, it is an archetype; and the lady in your dream was certainly encouraging and nurturing to you; could be that side of your personality coming out. Black women are also seen as strong, so that must be considered also.

Three has always been a mystical number, but I don’t know enough about the symbols of three, other than the religious connotations to speculate on that, but the fact of the lap pool symbolizes purpose and activity to me. Lap pools are not used for leisurely floating; they exist for a reason; and seem to me to require discipline and indicate activity toward a goal.

A possible leak seems obviously to me to signify a weakness, maybe there, maybe not, but one which one could expect and need to circumvent. Leaks can drain, symbolically can drain purpose or strength, but they can be repaired.

You do not describe your conversation with the boy, so can’t say too much about him; but the fact that he can control his scar through movement might be a message also of discipline and achievement; of the control needed to acquire what you want and be who you want.

Dreaming of a high rise or having a foot on the sun imply upward motion to me, rising to the heights, achieving success.

Note: It later occurred to me that fire and water are two of the four elements and usually stand for cleansing and purification.
