I have my realestate license in CA what kind of job can I work?

i was a Loan Agent for 5+yrs, but w/this market business is SLOW! and selling homes know is also very slow…….anything else??

You can try to find a job as a sales person with a large real estate developer (the one selling new homes.) Some of them have sales people on salary, not on commission.
You can also get into property management field.

    Commercial, but you need the right contacts to get into that. I’m in commercial in Tx., and it’s not what you know, it who you know. But it’s worth it, the money is fantastic.

    Probably any sales or marketing type job. Office equipment, staffing, transportation, etc.

    The big money in real estate sales is in commercial and land sales to builders.

    HOWEVER, it will be at least 18 months before you get any income. Can you last that long with out a paycheck.

    The best opportunity for you to make money with your license is to be an agent. And I don’t mean a fly by night agent, I mean a real real estate agent. This business always has its ups and downs, but there is a lot of money to be made. Ever wonder how people are in this business for 20+yrs? Its because they treat it as a real business, not just sit back and wait for the phone to ring. If you get out there and hustle you can make a killing. Especially now with most agents having the attitude you do and are running for the hills. If you make a plan, stick to it and hustle, you will make more money than anything else you can do with the license. Just put you mind to it and you can succeed. I tell you if you do this you can make more money than you could dream of. This is a business where you are rewarded for your hard work, so work hard and receive the rewards. If you put 40 hrs per week of actually work towards your business you can make 6 figures even in a down market. I know many agents who have done this, and you could be one of them. Pick up a good book about how to become a top agent and actually do the steps, you will be amazed. I am not trying to sell anything to you, but if you want me to recommend some books let me know.

    The mortgage industry is still thriving despite the nonsense you hear on the news. People are refinancing those mortgages before they adjust and homeowners that cannot sell are taking out cash and improving their homes.
    In California with your RE sales Licene, you can also work as LIcensed Loan Officer. (Same license) This means you can get a job at a reputable mortgage company or bank and make a decent income the honest way. While you can be a loan officer in CA without a license, you will do far better having it.

    If loan officer is not for you, then consider being a Leasing agent at a complex or property management. That will provide a steady income for you.

    How about property management? I have my license and that’s what I do. It’s a good living and a steady paycheck. If you are looking for stability, do that. If you want the chance for a big paycheck, then do sales. Me, I’ll stick to my steady income and benefits, thank you. :-)

    Bank as a Loan Officer
    Go to the State Website look for on the CalFHA for a job as a underwriter.
    Go to you local city website and look for a job as a real estate agent – Right of Way Agent
    Work with a New Home Builder – actually not bad teachs you how to interact with clients since they come to you.

    There are some suggestions, until than set up Open Houses on Sunday’s and Monday’s. from 11-2 pm. Ask your top agents who have many listings and just bring a book and sit. You should pick up a couple of great clients.
