I am thiking about investing in mutual funds and these 2 looked good to me. No load. No transactions fees with fidelity. Anybody has any thoughts on this? Also, are there any good no load funds you can suggest?
I checked the website below – which is an independent view of mutual funds and both funds pass their test!
In as much as you are buying sector funds, you are not as diversified as if you bought a simple index fund. Personally, I prefer ETFs because they have lower cost structures and are bought and sold on a stock exchange. You pay commission to buy and sell but you avoid actively-managed funds. check the website linked:

My best performing "fund" has been the Vanguard Total Stock Market Index. VTSMX.
By the way, – when I look at the 2 you mentioned Fidelity charges a $75 transaction fee for each.
I wouldn’t let a transaction fee stand in the way of what you think is a good fund, though. I paid a $75 fee for VTSMX through Fidelity but it’s been well worth the fee.
