are there mediators free of charge available in Maine regarding realestate laws?

My x boyfried refuses to refinance the house so that I can get my name removed from the mortgage. I understand that at this point I need a lawyer to get him to re-fi or sell. The only problem is I cannot afford a lawyer. Is there some kind of lawyer or mediator that I can speak to to help me through this free of charge?

You get what you pay for. There aren’t going to be any lawyers out there willing to work for free so that you can make a buck.

Even with an attorney you would have trouble forcing a sale.

Find one that will go for a reasonable retainer (about 10k for this) and bill you the rest after the sale.
